Hmm. I sometimes have the same issue. In some cases, if you have anything that may interfere with your signal (for example, my Wii is in my bedroom when the router is about 75 feet away. If my laptop is on and connected wirelessly to the internet, it seems to interfere with the Wii's signal. I only say this because it worked when I closed my laptop's connection.
If that isn't the case, I don't know what else it may be.
I apologize for getting your hopes up about a solution, cause I really don't know. But, I'm reminding you to get PunchOut for it. One of the most classic boxing games of ALL time, "Mike Tyson's Punch Out" for the NES.
Don't forget the Wii remake!
