But it's weird I haven't played Star Ocean 3 is really long time and yet for some weird reason it crawled in my head and set up camp. Has that happened to anyone else with any other game song?

Did you know that Bitter Dance from Star Ocean 3 and Iwatodai Station from Persona 3 are based on a song called think ya better d by sAmi commonly seen in Dance Dance Revolution?
