Just started playing this again and wow it's still hella fun, great great game.
Anybody race online still, or is the scene pretty dead?
I've never played it online, but I doubt the scene is entirely dead as Mario Kart's a pretty fun and easy to get into game. I know I still play the occasional game on my DS to pass a bit of time and it's certainly something I'd consider playing online if I were able to.

Snaking killed any sort of enjoyment of online play in that game.
