In psychological terms, 'affect' has to do with feelings or emotion, and is a part of the ABCs of Psychology-- Affect, Behavior, and Cognition. If the poster is referring to their personal affect display, which are the facial, gestural, and vocal indicators of feeling or emotion, they aren't wrong, but they probably don't realize it.
