Did they pretty up the sprites?

So I'm playing the DS version and it looks like the character's battle sprites look a little polished. Especially Lucca's. It looks a lot better than the original or Chronicles.

Might be because you're playing on a small screen

The game's color palette was changed slightly (reds are a bit more orange, greens are a bit lighter, likewise), but no detail was added or anything. It works in some places, but others, like the Black Omen, just seem washed-out. I prefer the original colors overall.

Singing Mountain is pretty half assed in terms of a landscape. It's just a recolored Death Peak with ladders in really asinine locations.

Combination of the changed palate and smaller screen. I was also saddened by the washed-out look of the black omen. Doesn't change the fact that the game is amazing though
