my ailing memory is trying to convince me there was also a materia you find around that point, like an HP up materia or MP turbo or somehting along those lines. like a purple or blue support materia....
the Curse Ring is available at Mideel at this point too right???? maybe thats the answer to your riddle! i remember its found in a bush, not a chest

This is the only materia strong enough to end the world, so it must be the strongest...
So, Karifean, did you actually think that was it or were you just making a guess because it is so common?
I was gonna go for black materia, but that chest clue was way too vague
I thought black materia because of lines 1 2 and 4. I'll come up with a riddle tomorrow.
