Is it the Aero spell?

I know Rapps uses it, and I think the enemies at the top of Gaia's Cliff use it, and those are the only two times you'll see it.

IT's been in almost all other games in the series.

As far as I know you never get anything that let's you cast the spell.

Still don't know what the last line is talking about.

I originally thought that Aero was a spell that could be used by Materia, looked it up in the Strategy Guide - and that's not so. But as a spell - even a monster spell - it's possible to see many times.

The only monster, according to the guide, which has an Aero attack is Rapps - and Rapps has Aero3. Also, I don't think that a magic relates to the third line, because I don't know if you can hold energy.

Hints:

Its not a limit break, at all. Its not usable by a character and the 2 chances to see it is in FFVII all the other games the answer has been in it can be seen an infinite amount of times.

So your looking for something that can ONLY be seen twice in FFVII but in all the other Final Fantasy's its been in it can be seen an infinite amount of times. Obviously the answer is not a limit break cause then there would be an infinite amount of times it could be seen.

So in short: your party has no access to this answer except to see it, it can only be seen twice at 2 completely different points in the game.

It can be seen an infinite amount of times on any other game the answer is in.

I would recommend you guys focus on the third line, its pivotal to the answer.

Its none of those things.

The answer is something that can only be seen twice within FF7 and one of those chances is missable. The answer relates to Wutai somehow. And the second line refers to a few previous FF games before FF7.

We have our winner ladies and gentlemen let me explain ^^

Only two chances do you have to see me - the spell is cast by only 2 different monsters, rapps and some monster in the whirlwind maze.

The origin of such is found in antiquity - the first time the aero spells are found in the final fantasy series is FFIII

Only to be seen never to be held - the fact that it is a spell but not an obtainable materia.

Do not try to find me I've been expelled - Some people speculate that the spell was originally intended to be a materia but was cut before the end.

Addendum: yes, technically you can see the spell more then once if they cast it more then once but at that point in the game (when your in the whirlwind maze) I always find myself strong enough to kill the monster before it has more then 2 turns. but if you want to be pedantic you could in theory sit there and let it cast the spell over and over but meh.

anyways, another guess: i forget the materia name, but the materia combo that activates upon death combined with phoenix :P a very bright light indeed, and happens when you forget that youve combined the two together at just the right time
