Seems to be either an enemy or an item.... Maybe the Ceasar monster - looks like Ceaser (as in the salad dressing). Or am I off course?

Are we still allowed to post logic help without guessing? I have ideas but no guess.

"slice" could be pie, pizza, OH! Hmmmmmmmm.....Barret referred to the upper sectors of Midgar as that "$^%@! floating pizza". Slice could refer to a sector, then. But nobody ever offers anybody else a sector of Midgar, ha. could refer to reactors, one per slice, and they work together to feed the sister ray which "cooks" stuff.

    I don't actually think that's it. I think I'm way off with where I went with that...but it's a line of thought.

slice could also refer to the action of slicing.

I have this vague idea that it's about an NPC giving you something that they find useless. ...I don't think I've said anything here that obligates you as a riddler to respond. Just throwing ideas out there.

Also your riddles sound like four-line haiku. hahah

    It's not the Ceasar monster.

It's not Barret's analogy of Midgar.

Maybe they do because the lines don't rhyme and I try to keep each line a similar length.

Might it be the Hedgehog Pie? The reasoning should be fairly obvious, but it does use Fire which could be what the second half refers to.

    Would-be small scale vandalism
At times has large scale impact
Black pawn attacks not black king
But may abet the white foray

Would-be small scale vandalism - uh, graffiti maybe
At times has large scale impact - some graffiti has a large impact
Black pawn attacks not black king - something related to chess? Or movement?
But may abet the white foray - Again the white foray could be linked to chess. But what is a foray?

Vandalism does not refer to graffiti. A foray would be an attack or raid in this context.

Not AVALANCHE. You may want to think more metaphorically about black and white.

Anything to do with good & evil? As in Cetra vs. Jenova?

Yes, white and black refers to good and evil in a sense. Not Cetra vs. Jenova, though. Nothing so absolute.

I'm guessing this is an action of small resistance against Shin-Ra, but for the life of me I can't figure out who it might be.
