Final Fantasy X Music Appreciation Thread!

I've been listening to the soundtrack again and it's definitely my favorite in the series. Assault has been on repeat for a little while.

I really liked X's music as well, but I would say that it is only 2nd best, as I enjoy listening to IX much more.

It is great. I wish we could hear more of Uematsu, though... Although I must say that Hamauzu's contibutions to the soundtrack were outstanding! You just gotta love his unique sense of harmony...

Yeah I'm not sure who did what in that OST xD

Uematsu did the main battle theme, the character themes, the works.

Hamauzu did the Decisive Battle, Assault, Besaid, from the ones that come to mind.

Nakano... Hmm... He did compose Guadosalam... And some filler tracks, I guess...
I think I saw a list of who wrote which track... I'll look for it in the morning...

I replayed through FFX over the Easter break and I was really surprised by how much more I enjoyed it when I came to it after a long break from it. One of the things I was most newly impressed by was the music of the game. I utterly adore some of the pieces like Sprouting, To Zanarkand, Besaid Island and Seymour Battle. There are some really good pieces here that go extremely well with the in-game locales, such as the pieces Macalania Forest, Illusion and Cloister of Trials.

Someday the dream will end is also an incredible song, its an awesome soundtrack X, but VII is still my favourite soundtrack.

I really like besaid, but by far the best track in that game is Challenge.

The regular battle theme, however, is horrid. :/

EDIT: Oh and Hopeless Desire is pretty awesome too.

Yeah that was like the only theme in the game I didn't like. The usual boss theme was boring.

I love the song of prayer,, every version,, didnt like any of Seymours themes though.

I found this neat unreleased version of the Macalania snow fields theme! Sounds like Nakano's Threads of Fate stuff.

FFX had lots of good music. Hopeless Desire was one of my favorites, but there was tons of good music in this game.

What is the name of the music that plays during the Seymour Omnis fight? Can't find that piece anywhere.

The last time you fight him? That one's just called Seymour Battle or Fight With Seymour
