I think it has to do with the amount of skin. It does vary depending on gender since girls have to cover up two areas. But I think the standard would remain the same. Letting a guy post in boxers is as okay as letting a girl post in boxers. Briefs/"panties" on either would be questionable. If a girl in bikini cut gets a deleted pic, I'd be happy knowing a guy in a bikini would also be removed. Now lets just hope nobody tries to take after Flea from the Chili Peppers
