I was just wondering what every bodys favorite non FF RPG is?
I think mine are A ESIV:OBLIVION, and the ocarina of time if you would call that an rpg it might be an action adventure since theres no leveling or anything

Off the top of my stupid looking hat I'd say Shadow Hearts: Covenant.
The first one was good but left more to be desired, and the third one, while it had some improvements mechanically, wasn't as interesting of entertaining storywise. Plus the voice acting is meh.
derp
I think KOTOR 2 and Xenogears had the most profound impacts on me. Good stuff..
Xenogears for me. It had such a deep story, with great character backgrounds and a pretty good battle system.
I'd be hard pressed to name a single RPG I like most, after all all the games I own and play are liked by me. Some RPGs have had massive influence on me and others have just been merely enjoyable. I would definitely put FFVIII and the Fallout saga up there alongside Mass Effect for without Mass Effect and Fallout 3 I wouldn't have bothered getting Oblivion (I didn't like how clunky my pure unadulterated Morrowind played) Front Mission 3 gave me a huge liking for the SRPG genre since everything about that game from it's infuriatingly difficult battles and it's extensive customisation options just sucked me right in.
fallout three is a good one
Tri-Ace anything.
might sound dumb but whats that
If you are one of the ignorant masses who has not yet played Fallout and Fallout 2 then I implore you to acquire these games by any means and play them because they're fantastic you can see Fallout 1 was pretty "basic" by todays sprawling standards but think back to the time when that game was new it's HUGE Fallout 2 imho is still pretty damn huge by todays standards and well worth playing.
I'd also throw in that Suidoken series and Star Ocean RPGs are very good.
Everyone will hate me but I think Suikoden 3.
i like maple story much, but what a pity, i am not good at it. i cant play well and make much more maple story mesos by myself. so i had to spend my money to buy from a site, one site i went is ugamegold. now i play the game everyday, i want to become a super player in the game. on that day, i will make lots of mesos by myself and then i sell to others.lol i can make real money.
off the top of my head i reckon suikoden 2 and breath of fire 3 are joint 1st
Its a shame that the only reason why people forgive Suikoden 3 is because Suikoden 4 was a bit more of a step back for the series (seriously, people need to stop trying to compete with Final Fantasy on its terms) but even that is bull cause Suikoden 3 had an excellent plot and cast of characters. Its story telling was truly something to behold and I wish more games would try it. The games' cinematography was exquisite and blew the hell out of anything SE was spewing out back then.
Also... I like your choices.
Personally, I can't really decide on one particular game. I could list a dozen off the top of my head and be unable to choose which I love more than the rest. Persona 3, Xenogears, Final Fantasy Tactics, Chrono Trigger, Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne, Vagrant Story, Suikoden and Final Fantasy VI just to name a few...
True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment.
Current Mood: And it's been a long December and there's reason to believe. Maybe this year will be better than the last. I can't remember all the times I tried to tell myself. To hold on to these moments as they pass...
FFIX.
