    Thats right, I want to know what others think of this...

    This is by far my favourite gun. Second is the Heckler and Koch USP, but this is way in front of it in my book. This image is the old 1950's model I think.

    A few details..

    It fires .45 rounds rather than 9mm. Less bullets per magazine but way more firepower.

    Replaced by the M9 Berreta in the US Army as the standard side-arm.

    And.. what are you favourite guns?

    EDIT: This is the Colt M1911 btw

    I love guns. I hate what they do and all, but the mechanics behind them is gorgeous. I wish I owned one just so I could look at it. I like old rifles more than modern weapons, but of the moderns I love the P90. That beast is a freaking tech. milestone in my eyes.

    This. The idea of doing such violence is abhorrent to me - but guns are nonetheless exceptional pieces of machinery and often very beautiful.

    Colts suck. The barrels are a bitch to make. Now XDs are where it's at.

    While on the topic of guns. I get to be in a Japanese gun magazine in a couple months.
