I loved this feature in X-2 it made the game slightly more interesting but for me this feature really shines in the MGS series & the DMC series.

Its fun for lawls but theres no challenge in a new game + so i never play it and if they have the option to i just never bother with it. I dont see whats so fun by being overpowered, theres no challenge in that...
RPGs in general are fun the first run and maybe a couple of plays months/years later to revisit it. Their mechanics tend to be just pressing X and O for the most part, so if its not even gonna get me thinking, its no fun at all.
Never forget that not everyone plays the same kinds of games you do for the same reasons you do. Challenge in many games is largely irrelevant to me.
I'm with Kishi. I play most JRPGs for the most part for the stories and characters and adventure, which makes "challenge" largely unnecessary, especially after I've already beaten it once. I'd be quite happy with a (better) New Game+ feature in a lot of games.
I would be much more willing to replay FFXII if it had such a feature. As it is, it'd just require too much of a time investment for me to bother at the moment. As has been expressed numerous times already, I really don't see why they can't include it.
Not my words Carol, the words of Top Gear magazine.
I love it.
I think giving us the option is nice. Sometimes I want to grind, level up, and get all the hidden pieces of equipment all over again. And then, there's occasions where I just want to experience the story, and breeze through the game.
Options are good.
Save The Goblins.
I think it's ok in games that need it such as the Ace Combat series, it's physically impossible to unlock every plane on one playthrough but you shouldn't have it for every game because some games it just doesn't make any sense to have.
My favourite New Game + is definatly in DMC.
Anyone ever managed to unlock and play Devil Trigger Mode?
It's epic.
i also like the new outfits you win with dmc
and yeah good point on the ace combat games
but who on earth wants every plane? wyvern's all you need
No More Heroes did it fairly well. You just start the game over with all of the money and upgrades you had at the end of your previous game. For the most part you can just blast through all of the Rank Battles without having to do any of the side quests to pay the entry fee. Nothing really gets unlocked, but it's at least a good way to re-experience the game without the 20-40 minutes of grinding in between levels for money.
