In other news, the demo rocks. Of the 5 playable characters, I like Terra the best, but I was really impressed by how fun and different each of the characters were. While starting out I kept having some small annoyances about a couple of the characters, but when I finally understood them all, I really had none that I disliked playing, or that played too similarly to the others (and the villains you face also seem unique). It is giving me very positive thoughts for the final game, especially since I know how much is not in the demo (more characters, more abilities, level up system, equipment system, story mode, more levels, more music, alternate costumes, etcetera).

Oddly I enjoyed Onion Knight the most of the playable characters. And Kefka seems like he'll be vicious, you can't play as him, but you do fight him.

If anyone wants to try something amusing, play as Sephiroth in Hard Mode, and hope that you get the castle stage for the fourth match. Jump to the top, and then just sit up there and cast Black Materia. If you release it right (you have to charge it at least to the point where it starts flashing, or it will fall at an angle, instead of straight down), you can almost always catch your opponents as they run up the side, and then the Meteor will drag them down to the bottom, hurting them the whole way. Cheap, but fun. Sephy is the king of the mountain.

Not wonderful that I've discovered a way to abuse the AI so quickly, but, still, this game is looking great.

I just pre-orderd the PSP/Dissidia bundle pack toady at Gamestop. I haven't checked to see what other fabulous goodies I'll get though.

Surprised the game is coming out sooner than I remember. Damn the summer went by fast for me.

Pre-ordered the UK Special Edition off Amazon yesterday.

One week to go. It seems the Dissidia demo has been hacked to allow you to play as every character except Shanttoto and Gabranth (though the hacked version is not without glitches).
