Names?

well for lack of anything better to do im gonna play through again and usualy i jus stick to the default names

but might aswell change the names this time eh?
and as i suck at coming up with anything interesting or imaginitive any of you guys got funny,insulting,interesting or downright daft names?

I only set them to this using the Namingway guy when I got bored of looking at their default names while grinding Grand Dragons, but I guess it could make a few scenes nice and confusing if you used them from the start.

I also change Garnet's name to Sarah after making that revelation at Madain Sari, even though it kind of screws up the whole "Bring my beloved Dagger to me" line in the ending. :dagger:

In my last playthrough I renamed Dagger as Garnet because I'd really grown to dislike the name Dagger, regardless of its symbolism.

Otherwise, I'm a boring sod and tend to keep them as their defaults. I'm pretty sure Nemesis the Warlock mentioned in the past that he would name Amarant 'Bumrash' so that he would introduce himself as 'The Flaming Bumrash.'

In my last playthrough I renamed Dagger as Garnet because I'd really grown to dislike the name Dagger, regardless of its symbolism.

I did this my very first time through the game, following the lead of a couple other people at EoFF. Again, it kind of muddled the symbolism, but "Dagger" just hadn't grown on me yet.

I can't stand the name Dagger, I always change that one.

One time I named everyone their default names backward.

Zidane = Enadiz
Dagger = Reggad
Vivi = Iviv
Steiner = Reniets

Etc, etc

Also when I was younger I named Salamander, Homo so he'd be The Flaming Homo.

The most I ever do is change Freya to Freja.

I mostly stick with defaults but sometimes I get on weird kicks where I pick weird names: Lithium, Truce, Magna, etc. Of course, pocketing that Namingway card for future revisions is always a good idea. Pretty fun to load up old saves and see what kind of renaming went on back then.
