Versus XIII is the one that will, supposedly, have a world map like the FF's FF9 and before.

There's a picture, although a small one, of the world map from Versus XIII around. I think it was released in Japan in a special magazine or book. The picture was part of what looked like a storyboard shot for the game. I'm trying to find the picture, but it came out last year so it's buried deep by now on the internet. It was definitely Versus XIII and it was definitely a world map.
ETA: I found the picture, it's from the Cloud message mag or book or whatever it was.

Look at the top set of pics, though they are small you can see in one a character standing on some snowy plain with some rocky mounds and possibly a small mini-map in the top right corner, and to the right of that, what looks to be a small town or something with a mountain in the background. Definitely screams world map to me.

I'm still not really into the main character being more manly than 90% of the previous main characters, but I have to admit those screenshots look hot.
