Welcome, friends, to the long awaited, somewhat belated, but reinstated and unabated...

Eyes on Plays Final Fantasy IX!

For those who don't know, Eyes on Plays is where we all dust off our copies of a certain Final Fantasy title, and remind ourselves for a month or so why we came here in the first place. We have some challenges that you can attempt if you want, but mainly: Play the game, have some fun and rejoice with your fellow IX lovers (feel free to post some screenshots too).

Silver Challenges

Beat the game
Beat Hades
Beat Tantarian on Disc 2
Get all characters to level 60
Find all the Chocographs
Complete the Friendly Monsters sidequest
Acquire a Treasure Hunter Rank of 'S'
Complete the Mognet sidequest

Gold Challenges

Beat Ozma
Get all characters to level 99
Find all the Chocobo treasures
Acquire all Tetra Master cards
Acquire the King of Jump Rope key item
Acquire the Athlete Queen key item
Max out Thievery, Frog Drop and Dragon's Crest
Learn not a single ability!

Why On Earth Would You Do That Challenges

Beat Ozma with the Tropical Equipment
Beat Ozma at Level 1
Acquire Excalibur II
Acquire the highest Card Collector's Rank

REMEMBER: you must post a screenshot/photograph of the beginning of your game to be eligible for the challenges! You have until August 31st! (whatever the last timezone is in that)

Oh man, I loooooove FFIX. I've been waiting for this EoP. I'm gonna find my PS1 and play this! So exciting.

The only bad part about emulating FF9 (on epsxe at least) is the disk switch problem, now I gotta go grab an earlier version like 1.5.2 or something.

I was just thinking of starting this game again the other day too, it's been a good 3-4 years.
