I watched Miss March last night. It was okay but it seemed like the guys were trying too hard to make their first movie a smash. It reminded me of a really awful Superbad.

I wasn't too hot on Let the Right One In when I first watched it, but I think it's one of those films that grows on you. There are moments and scenes and sounds from that film that just sorta stick to you. Eli in particular was exquisitely done. Major props to the young actress who played the character.

Just saw The Hangover last night, and I can undoubtedly say that it's one of the funniest films I've seen in a while. I laughed from beginning to end. It's just a really good comedy!

    Finally watched Spirited Away.

It was really good but completely over rated! There are so much better Disney movies out there!

    Except there aren't.

But, I guess it all boils down to personal preference.

It wasn't that great! What is seriously that great about that movie?

It's very hard to think of something that isn't great about Spirited Away.

I watched Dante's Peak a few days ago. It's a movie about a dormant volcano erupting.

    + Nice scenery
    - Unbelievable scenes
    - Annoying stupid kids
    - Dumb grandmother
    + Rocks fall, people die

    I enjoyed it.

Apparently, I have been declared banished.

lemme guess... Because it's a Japanese movie, it's suddenly the best movie ever

i didn't like spirited away as much as other ghibli flicks
like i dunno if i'd watch it again on my own
but you gotta admit it took the ghost world scenario and did some creepy things with it
i don't think it's comparable to other disney films though. apples and oranges.

No, because it's one of the most charming and imaginative movies I've ever seen, with great characters, and some of the most beautiful hand drawn animation around. Not to mention a great soundtrack. I love me some classic Disney, but it's got nothing on Miyazaki at his best.

Yes, let's all go walking through a lake with lava running over it. The ho deserved to die. Agree completely with your review.

I think the movie I saw most recently was Iron Man. I had a hard time forcing myself to like something with Robert Downey Jr in it, but it was good. Nice special effects. All I can remember is that I found it somewhat underwhelming. 7/10

    Rye made this!

Agreed. I love Disney too, but Miyazaki is just so much better than Disney in any way - artistically, thematically, story wise.. everything. And just the level of detail and impressions are enough to adore any of his films.
