Fantastic Mr. Fox
7/10
Was fantastic! The animation movement was a little odd at times, but the storyline was very cute. You can't go wrong with Roald Dahl! The only thing that really bugged me was some of the casting choices. Some were great and others were poor like Owen Wilson as the coach. Erm, what?
Homecoming
3/10
A really horribly executed mimic of a better film called Misery. Mischa "Mmm whatcha say" Barton is doing some really horrible Southern accent; which makes no sense because everyone else is not speaking in a Southern accent and the movie I think takes place in Pennsylvania. It's supposed to be scary, but it fails to even be shocking.
I was going to The Informant this week, but I haven't gotten around to it. From what I've seen in the trailers it looks like it has some pretty corny humor so I dunno.
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-vUl-1FJ9E">Heavenly Creatures</a> - Great.
Office space : 7.5 / 10
Though I gotta say, the boss is hilarious.
"Hey Peter, what's happenin ? "
"Hmmm yeeeaaah"
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOxViR7eCuM">Legend</a> - Quite possibly the nerdiest thing I have ever seen.
Robin Hood (the recent one)
Ignoring the iffy historical accuracy, the Hollywood antics of making things go really smoothly, the massive amounts of plotholes, the fact this movie tries to be a prequel, the fact that Cate Blanchette almost never looks hot but strangely older than she really is... It was a decent movie if for visuals alone.
Watch it if you want to heckle a movie or if you are under intoxication.![]()
True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment.
Current Mood: And it's been a long December and there's reason to believe. Maybe this year will be better than the last. I can't remember all the times I tried to tell myself. To hold on to these moments as they pass...
Watched 2 movies today.
1) The Room.
You really don't need me to say why this is a horrible movie, but it's so bad you have to see it at least once.
2) Beyond Re-Animator.
I didn't expect it to be so awesome. So awesome in fact I liked it more then the first movie. West was still just as awesome as in the other two movies. As long as you don't screw him up, it was at least going to be entertaining.
The new helper he gets, his name slips my mind, has a more personality then Kane from the originals, and while he is technically the replacement, is a very unique character by comparison, for many reasons. At the same time he mirrors a few of the faults, and the possible hypocrisies inherent in his actions, that the previous Kane had.
The villain in this one also outclassed the originals in many ways.
It keeps much of the cheesy comedy/horror movie laughs alive, all while presenting some genuinely creepy and disturbing elements.
I give this one an 8.5/10.
Ballad of a Soldier

About World War 2 Russian Soldier sent home on leave, along the way he helps people. Good movie even if it was made in the 1950s... Watched it off: Netflix...
Creepshow 2
5/10
So, this year I saw Creepshow (the first one) for the first time in a very nice theater. I decided to give Creepshow 2 a shot even though it is an 80s horror filled with lots of really cheesy things. Half way into it my eyes lit up because I realized it was the movie I had been searching for for 10+ years! I told my dad when I was about six or so about a movie we had rented that I couldn't remember the name of. I described the movie as, "horror with a gunk that eats people and a statue Indian that kills people." And he was just like, "wut." Finally, after all this years I discovered what that movie was and I must say, it was underwhelming. xD I like the first Creepshow better because it had more stories and it was just better imo.
Appaloosa
4/10
Renee Zellwellger is in it. She rarely seems to open her eyes. It's quite strange. The movie was boring. I may not be the best judge of this film because if it isn't a western that's The Good, the Bad, the Ugly, No Country for Old Men, or 3:10 to Yuma then I probably won't like it. Westerns just aren't my thing especially when Renee Zellwegger is in it. Also needed more music. Was way too quiet. The only thing that was good was the casting of Viggo because he definitely looks like he belongs in that era. The costumes were also on point.
The Book of Eli
**** of ***** stars.
Denzel Washington did a good job acting in this movie. It's set in the post-apocalyptic future and the main lone character is traveling throughout the Wasteland with a book. That's pretty much all I can say I thought it was a good movie... plus I like post-apocalyptic stories. It's worth a watch....

Get Him to the Greek. Similar in tone to Forgetting Sarah Marshall, with some of the same characters. Not as laugh out funny, but amusing and at times quite sincere.
