I watched the most redonkulous movie the other day. Well, part of it at least. I turned it off because I couldn't stomach any more of it and now I can't remember the title. If anyone knows the name of this movie please let me know (so I can further avoid it).

The synopsis: It's about a serial killer who breathes really heavy and kills teens as they're about to or as they're having sex. It's a B horror movie and I think from the 80s.

I watched Tomorrow When The War Began tonight. It's an Australian movie where 7 teenagers from a small harbour town of New South Wales go on a camping trip in to the outback to a place they know as Hell. During their trip they see a load of military aircraft fly overhead and think nothing of it. On their return to town they discover their homes are empty after some investigating they discover that the country has been invaded by a coalition of local asian forces (I'm guessing Korea/China/Phillipines by the looks of the soldiers, their uniform symbols and hardware). Not willing to give themselves up and yet unable to simply hide they become resistance fighters. After an incident where they see a friendly Australian fighter jet get shot down by 3 enemy planes they decide they can no longer stay at the town. Though the enemy finds them and destroys the building they have been staying in they fail to kill them. On their way out of the city back to the outback location known as Hell, they encounter Chris a stoner from their school who explains a little bit more of what has happened and joins them. Considering there is only one bridge in to the town from the harbour they decide to blow the bridge up and succeed in doing so. The movie ends on a clear cliff hanger several weeks after the destruction of the bridge where the group of teenagers are now facing up to the fact that they are no longer civilians in this war but soldiers behind enemy lines and that they are unwilling and unable to flee or give up. IMDB informs me that the sequel is in direct production.

My opinion on this film is that it is a fairly good movie with a lot of unknowns in which means the acting at times is of course not quite up to the par of the usual Hollywood releases though this is an independent movie not a Hollywood production so that is to be expected. I feel that the movie may have been a little on the short side or that the story may suffer from some pacing problems since the film seems to cover very little ground and yet expects us to pick up a lot more on the basis of a few short video diary clips in a retrospective approach. The action scenes in the film are however visually impressive and well done. The film is however an enjoyable movie. I didn't find watching it to be a chore nor did I end up left without the desire to see the sequel when it is released. If you're looking for an enjoyable, refreshing break from the Hollywood main action titles of late then this could be a movie worth watching.

I finally watched Blue Velvet. I enjoyed it, but not quite as much as Mulholland Dr.

    Watch it though, it's great.

    Corrina, Corrina

I woke up in the afternoon and turned on the TV. This movie had just started an I thought that I should watch it, even though I don't watch those types of movies too much.

The movie was very entertaining and funny, especially those parts where the black kid talked to a mug, thinking that it was a telephone. It had some sad parts too, but I won't be writing about them because they would be spoilers.

The movie was well put together, after a sad part came a funny part and the acting was just wonderful.

I would give it a 10/10. And I recommend watching this movie.

I just watched the first half of The Art Of Flight and good god this stuff is bonebreaking die-hard.

It's basically a snowboard film combined with a BBC's Planet Earth like approach, where world's best snowboarders rip the world's most challenging slopes and mountains. It's jaw-dropping and definitely a must see for anyone with an interest in extreme sports.

LOL, no that's not it. It was way worse than that.

    SUPER

It's really bizarre. It started off really comedic, quirky. So I gave it shot, but then it got disturbing and I mean really disturbing and it was more violent then it had to be. Ellen Page's voice is also really annoying in this as well. In fact her whole character is. I'm not sure what to rate it yet, but I'll have more comments later prob.

Well, its not a movie, but I finished watching Farscape. It was the best TV show that I have ever seen. The ending was perfect.
I'm looking forward to watching The Peacekeeper Wars.

I started this movie with a pad and everytime I lol'd I made another tic mark.
at the end of the movie there were 3 tic marks.

It is about a bunch of retarded troopers who hate cops and are getting shut down and a drug monkey.

Against my better judgement I watched transformers 3 yesterday. It was the most bizarre, unscientific, plotless pile of desu ever.

I think an action movie [nowadays] basically has one big action scene and the only reason we have it take 2.5 hours is to build up to that scene. There wasn't a protagonist, character development [Spike ... I mean Sam being a jelly BF doesn't count], weird twist plot points [humans were decepticon slaves for decades but didn't bother finding Megatron], and a final battle that made no sense.

Also they made Shockwave cooler than the cartoons but a nonsensical character when compared to the comics. I was like 'wait since when did Shockwave transform into a tentacle monster?'

    Do not watch.

A few films I've watched recently. Warning: I don't watch a lot of movies so my taste is pretty normal and/or bad.

The Descendants. Definitely had its moments and was pretty well written. George Clooney really performed well, and that was my favourite thing about it. That and Sid. Sid was amazing. 7/10

A Beautiful Mind. Yes, this was quite good. For some reason I am a bit prejudiced against Russel Crowe (I think it's because I hated Master and Commander so much), but he really surpassed any and all expectations I had of him. The plot twist came at a very good moment, when I was starting to get bored, and kept the rest of the movie very interesting. 9/10

There Will Be Blood. Oh man. Oh man. I know it's popular and over-hyped and everything, but that last scene was incredible in the context of the film. Daniel Day-Lewis is just a remarkable actor, not a lot of people can hold a candle to him. He better have won the Oscar for that. Yeah, he did. Good. All is right with the world. Not only that, but the movie was tense and weird at times, but I couldn't go to sleep for a few hours after because I was just like "Man that was good!" and that can only be a good thing. 9.5/10
