The Lone Ranger 6/10
every joke failed its punchline.
the story was cute though, but the movie was not cinema-worthy.
so for everyone who does want to see this movie i advise you: save your money and download it when its on piratebay or something

It looks like Johnny Depp plays Jack Sparrow as a Native American.
I have a guilty crush on Armie Hammer, though. He looks like such a goddamned Disney prince.
The Good The Bad And The Ugly
Will never stop being in my top five.
He was the twins in the Facebook movie, wasn't he?
For Love or Money starring Michael J Fox. Snappy writing for a romantic comedy, it hit all the right notes for me.
Pain and Gain.
Not sure how I'm supposed to feel about it - like it's obviously a comedy...but it's based on real life incompetence, idiocy, greed, torture, and murder.
...so yeah weird. Would not watch again.
Just saw The World's End, and it was fantastic.
Star Trek: The Motion Picture
It went something like this:
First ten minutes: Music with no picture (yes this happened) and opening credits
Next thirty minutes: Production team shows off their special effects budget with hundreds of different shots of the Enterprise alternated with shots of Kirk looking emotional.
Next thirty minutes: Production team shows off their special effects budget when the ship takes off and runs into some sort of anomaly which it just so happens to take a really long time to explore.
Next thirty minutes: Cyborg chick shows up on board, nothing else really happens.
Final thirty minutes: The actual plot.
I give all the derping around at the beginning a 2/5 and the last half hour a 4/5 for a final score of 3/5.
Edit: Oh my god I just looked it up and it was originally the pilot episode for a new series. They just took the script and added in an hour's worth of special effects. I KNEW IT.

It's pretty much an accepted fact that odd Star Trek films are worthless and even Trek films are good until Nemesis came along. Abrams' Star Trek also bucked the trend.
Iirc, The Search for Spock was less worthless than some of the other odd Trek films, and Generations wasn't terrible, but I, V, and Insurrection were completely forgettable.
Interestingly there's a director's cut of the first film that apparently has a much faster pace. I haven't seen it though.
I agree with everything you said and also ugh Nemesis. Way to destroy that good trend, guys![]()
I'm still pissed off that that's how they chose to wrap up TNG. It was such a classic series and it deserved a better send-off than that
Last movie I saw was Epic (brought to us by the creators of Rio and Ice Age) my opinion, not bad not great either but I did enjoy watching it. The animation was simply breathtaking and the story was well done. If I had to give it a rating I'd give it a solid 8![]()
"you are free to sever the chains of fate that bind you"
You gave a movie a bad rating because it had music at the beginning? I guess you haven't seen a lot of old movies. It's the music that plays while everyone takes their seats.
