So I just saw The perks of being a wallflower.

    My expectations for the movie?

None whatsoever, I just thoughts hey I will see Hermiona out of her role.

    What it delivered?

Awesome movie with catching story, some very dark things in interesting way. I loved it even though I was lots of times confused and totally thought things were gonna go other (more cliché) way. Really I got chills from the movie.

    5/5

Holy crap it was so good. Definitely took the insanity of the first one and multiplied it. Story was weak tho, but fight scenes were insane. smurfing Rama, man.

They need to some how revive Joe Taslim's character and then I'll watch it.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Yeah, that would give you a better appreciation for this one I feel.

MissH and I went to watch this last night and I thought it was fantastic. It was a little more Intense than the first one (Sophie still prefers Rise) but I felt this was a much better film in every way. The parallel the film shows between the apes and men is perfectly represented. I loved how at the start the Caesar felt that men had destroyed themselves and that apes were stronger because they were all a family. By the end he realises that the apes are no different from the humans themselves. It's a wonderful journey.

There are a couple of heartbreaking scenes which mirrored the men and newly developed apes perfectly. With the way the original 1968 movie starts (and indeed the huge spoilers in the film titles!) you kind of know how the next film is gonna go... but I already can't wait. God damn two-year wait

Damn you!! You got in there before me!!

Yes, I did prefer Rise- purely because I liked the cute baby Ceasar and I really enjoyed watching the relationships play out. There was probably a little bit too much fighting in Dawn for my liking. However, saying that, I still thought it was a fabulous film, totally in awe how they manage to create such an incredible film using a magic computer!

I am incredibly impatient and seriously grumpy about having to wait so long until the next film.

    To summarise;
    Rise : 9/10
    Dawn: 8/10

    P.S I want a baby ape

I watched Dawn a week ago, and honestly I wasn't too fussed about it. I thought it was a good film, but after loving Rise so much I was expecting more. It's certainly not a film I'd watch again soon. That said, I'm really looking forward to the next film, and I hear there could be a couple of them before they get onto Planet of the Apes, which should be interesting.

The action was awesome as always, I just felt the story was kinda all over the place. But the blood and gore was so fun!

I feel guilty for liking it because I don't think it's good stuff, but Hitch is a cute little movie.

I thought so! It wasn't top quality cinema but the couple with the guy from the King of Queens and that lady was just so sweet

I just got back from watching Guardians of the Galaxy. I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of attention paid to the villains, as well as the horrific lack of character depth to Ronan in particular, but otherwise it was an absolutely fantastic film! It had a charming 80s feel to it, was hilarious at points, and it was pretty well paced for a two hour film...I've felt that some of the other Marvel films (Avengers in particular) have felt quite rushed.

Overall, I'd give this an 8/10. Not as good as Thor or Iron Man, but better than the others.

    Guardians of the Galaxy

Honestly I loved it. Amazing for every second. Loved the 80's feel. Its a classic for sure. Best marvel movie by far.
    Id give it a 10/10.

Just got back from GotG as well, awesome movie. The humour appealed to me more than I expected, and more than your usual Marvel movie. Drax the Destroyer was pretty hilarious. Good pacing, too.

Hercules - The one with The Rock.

It was pretty great. The characters were fun, the fight scenes were awesome, though the plot was pretty simplistic. At first I didn't like that the Legend of Hercules was a myth perpetuated by Hercules to up his cred basically, but there are a couple interesting twists involving it I very much liked.

    8/10
