    Watch it. It's good.

Slightly longer review: it's Keanu being given an excuse to spend an hour and a half or so killing a bunch of people. And it's one of those action movies where the action elevates violence to an art form. He's brutally efficient and it gets the blood pumping.
I'm glad to hear it. This is one of the movies my mom and brother wants to go see, so I'll probably tag along when they do.

The one with the guy with the funny limbs! He was bendy and shooty! ... not in an obscene way... and she SPOILER ALERT dies.

Sorry all you fans of the novel!

Hobbit 2. It was really bad with terrible cgi.

I knew I would love this movie when I saw it starred Christopher Walken, was a musical, and directed by Clint Eastwood.

I loved it - there are other movies of this type that I prefer (Walk the Line) but this was fabulous. Even just for Walken dancing at the end.

I just saw Interstellar, and it was everything I wanted from it. There are a number of issues with the movie that stuck out to me, but there was just so much that touched on my love of space and my life goals as a child regarding becoming an astronomer as a kid.

Steve, my family is full of convicts and despite never being convicted I am and most people are well aware of what goes on in a prison. You can give me every excuse you want, but the fact of the matter is he's not convincing and I will agree to disagree.

I don't watch Sons of Anarchy but Hunam looks of a bigger build and is still more intimidating looking than Aaron Paul. I will never take him seriously in a badass role, but I think he is tremendously talented.

I also saw this tonight, as a cinematic experience it was perfect. When we left there was this beautiful silence - everyone was quite speechless. It was fantastic, I'd honestly give it 10/10.

Oh I give it a 10/10, but a couple of the people I saw the movie with didn't really like it. I don't really fault them for it, though. I recognize that for what it set out to do, it was cinematic brilliance, but it's not for everyone.

Nope, not for me. I think Christopher Nolan has finally been found out. The writing is extremely muddled with some cringeworthy lines. Also, the acting in it was as bad as I've seen for a Hollywood blockbuster in a long time. The special effects were very impressive but not all shots worked as well as he expected them to. He has set such a high standard for himself but this is as big a fall from grace that I have seen.

    Frozen.

I liked it. Most of the characters were likeable, the plot twist at the end made my jaw drop, and Elsa's powers fascinate me. A lot of good one liners and funny moments. Would watch again.

    Short review is short.

Been a while since anyone has posted here!

I just saw Kingsman: The Secret Service. I had no expectations going into it, but it ended up being everything I needed in a movie at that moment. It was pretty hilarious (with some touching moments as well), and the action was supremely well done. It wasn't perfect, but it was certainly fun!

    Chef

It's definitely replaced Julie & Julia in my heart (though I still am so smitten with Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci in it).

Chef is wonderful and I love it. I've watched it 3 times in the last week.

    Life as We Know It

I decided to put my aversion to Katherine Heigl aside for this film as MissH really likes it. My main problem with these kind of films is the predictability. I know that appeals to a lot of people as you know from the start it will end in a great way. The very first scene in which the two main actors go on a disastrous date you could tell they were going to end up together. I'm fine with a happy ending but jeez Hollywood... take a different approach maybe?

    - Two people don't get on at the start
    - They spend more time together and warm to each other
    - About halfway through the film they are in love and everything is great. BUT you know because there's still 45 mins left that...
    - Inevitably he/she does something bad and they fall out. Shock horror! Will they ever patch things up?!
    - Of course they do... it's Hollywood

There were positives though. The baby who played Sophie was the cutest thing I have ever seen. It may have even swayed me towards wanting a girl when we find out tomorrow! Josh Du Hast Mich was quite likeable too. There were a few funny scenes that I chuckled at but those were mainly the ones involving the baby and Messer.

There are quite a few romcoms that I love like Just Like Heaven, Hitch and Silver Linings Playbook (awesome film) which follow a similar formula but in a much more funny and interesting way. I just don't think this one stood out from the crowd. I was gonna give it a five but Katherine Heigl's presence automatically docks a point so I award this film...

    4/10
