    so not true. snopes.com: Fargo
    good movie though.

miyazaki's best film is clearly princess mononoke!! then nauusica, and THEN spirited away. But they're all better than any disney film =P
    sorry!

Last movie I saw in theaters was (500) Days of Summer. It made me break up with my boyfriend...which was a good thing! 9/10 for creativeness and honesty =)

Last movie I saw at homerss was The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. At first, I really liked it. Something about the atmosphere, the lighting and music and such, that made it so awesome I wanted to live in it forever. But then it just kept going, and going, and going...and the ending was stupid. And impossible. But OK, I still give it a 8/10, because it was a fantasy. It just seemed that the first half thye took their time on and did great with, but then they slacked off with the end half =/
oh and Brad Pitt is sexy as hell.

Yeah, the lighting for the film was great. Lots of use of warm hues and soft light made me feel very relaxed and drawn to the movie. It didn't have harsh, exciting light that made my heart race or make me feel uneasy. I also agree that it dragged on a bit. There were probably a few parts that could have been edited out. I thought the scenes with the dude who kept getting striked by lighting were funny.

Just got back from seeing Ponyo. It was really... colorful.

I've read some reviews saying that was terrible compared to Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle, but I don't see what they were whining about. I thought it was fantastic.

I watched Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist. It was a pretty cute movie.

    I'd give it a 7/10.

It wasn't OMG THE MOST AWESOME MOVIE EVER! IT was enjoyable though. Some parts were pretty funny and ti didn't lose my attention but it didn't stand out that much as an amazing movie. :P

Lost in Translation I felt was very endearing depiction of cross generational friendship in an alien (Tokyo) ... Sofia Coppola takes after her father and her visual direction is amazing. Its not particularly a fast pace story as each scene is meant to draw the out the characters personality in the unfamiliar environment.Plus the music is subtle and but you can feel its presence and meaning of it for certain scenes.

I give the movie a perfect score

The Abyss. Probably my favourite James Cameron film after Aliens. Such an underrated film. Its a shame because if you watch the Making of feature you'll realise that the Abyss was probably his most challenging film to make.

The Abyss is easily Cameron's best film.

Distrct 9. Annoying social commentary at the beginning gave way to hilariously OTT gore and eventually characters to root for. Liked it 7/10.

    Extract. Sucked.
    Gamer. Decent.

I just saw Extract, myself. I thought it was great. Not as memorable as Office Space or Idiocracy, but still a very good movie. It plays around with a lot of the contrivances that you've seen in hundreds of other movies in very unique and unexpected ways.
