I recently watched "Across the Universe", which is a movie musical that uses The Beatles songs. I think it's a good movie, it's wonderfully atmospheric and beautiful to look at, and it made me remember how much I actually love The Beatles.
Anyway, it made me think of this topic: What's your favourite movie musical?
"Across the Universe" isn't necessarily mine, though.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Dancer in the Dark, and Happiness of the Katakuris all spring to mind. I don't know if I could choose just one.
Across the Universe was great.
I'm not a big musical watcher, but Nightmare Before Christmas is probably my favourite.
West Side Story, or maybe The Blues Brothers if that counts.

I'm a huge fan of Spring Awakening.

I also sort of enjoyed Moulin Rouge.
I don't like musicals, really. Simply not a fan of them. I'll say The Producers, but that's only because I really like the original (non-musical) one and because Springtime for Hitler is beautiful.

I'm not a huge fan of musicals, either... though the South Park movie is good.
The Sound of Music. Just kidding! I loathe most movie musicals, but I liked Across the Universe (mostly for the visuals not the music), Rent, Nightmare Before Christmas, Little Shop of Horrors.

Across the Universe, various Disney movies, and South Park. Other than that I tend to dislike musicals. I've never even seen The Sound of Music.
Can't believe Rocky Horror hasn't been mentioned yet.
