To rip Genesis sprites, best emulator?

Simple enough question. Can someone make a recommendation for which emulator is best for ripping Genesis sprites? I'm after sprites from the original Streets of Rage and can only find them for two characters so I'm-a gonna have to rip 'em myself.

I use Megasis. It's user-friendly and has functionality to disable specific layers, which is all you need, really.

Edit: Hmm, I've tried it out and I can't for the life of me figure out how to make it take screenshots, or slow down enough to let me do screenshots via more manual means. Shucks, I guess the hunt's still on.

Just so everyone knows, I've just tried Kega Fusion and couldn't find any function to disable background layers so that's out.
