I joined EoFF because of the black chocobo in FFV, so that. Although it wasn't a smurfing black chocobo. It was purple. Why did nobody notice that?
They were playing on old CRT TVs, not in modern glorious HDTV, such as the Sony - KDL-52W4100. A 52" LCD TV with 1080p (FullHD), available from just $1720 new!

with my black chocobo i could always jus catch up to him and maybe (a big maybe) beat him once or twice
with any gold one i pumped his ass no problem
anyone else think Squall looked like a complete tool while riding a chocobo?
I was pretty partial to FFXI's chocobo. And the fat chocobo from FFIV but that was mainly because I liked the music when I was a kid.
FFT, definitely. Not only did it have wild chocobos who could murder your party with relative ease (s'up Finath) but you could also tame/ride 'em, breed 'em, and poach 'em -- that's like a hunter's trifecta. Other installments have a few of these traits but it gelled perfectly back in FFT's day.

Just started a game in FFXII and I loved the Black Chocobo they bring into Rabanstre at the beginning when you just get back from beating the tomatoe guy, your first mark in the story.
