Ragnarok. To this day it amuses me that I thought it was useless as a kid because it didn't really do any damage and I didn't realize it could convert enemies into items. Also it was a pretty cool looking sword and I'm not sure why an Esper would even take the form of a sword.

Crusader as a joke since damaging myself and enemies is just stupid. Why would I want to ever use it, especially when I can just Ultima things to death? (I realize if memory serves that I could absorb his attack and heal, but I'll still take Ultima and Curaga over it). As a more serious answer, I liked being able to use the Magus Sisters in FFX.

Which game did you enjoy the summons the most in?

FFIV or V actually. I think they were at their most useful without being broken in those games (I'm looking at you FFVIII).

On a side note as far as the question of why would we want a summons help when we just mopped the floor with them? I was playing through Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 and after you beat Deadpool and he offers to join you you can ask why you would want his help when you just beat the crap out of him. I thought it was a bit of a nice touch to recognize the age old question.
