I was going to make a thread on this game when it was announced but it slipped my mind. But now that a trailer for the game has been released, Ill make one.

I try not to get suckered into buying games for their visuals but I reckon Ill be buying this game regardless of its quality in the gameplay department. Every time I look at this game I'm stunned. And now that I've seen it in action, buying this game is a no brainer. I'm not quite sure where they are going with the gameplay with this one though. I thought it was going to be classic turn based combat but it seems to be leaning towards an action RPG similer to Zelda. Ill like to see more gameplay before labeling it a Zelda clone though. Oh, and the music is completely awesome.

Strangely this game is being made by From Software who recently made Demon Souls. Quite the contrast in visuals between the two games. As of now this game is a PS3 exclusive. Depending on whos publishing the game it could go multiplat. We'll have to wait and see.

FROM has made one of my favourite games , but they also have more than their fair share of flops. Maybe people will be able to play it at the Tokyo Games Show and we'll have a better idea how it feels.

I believe Silicon Studios is doing the developing, From Software is doing the publishing in Japan.

Yeah I simply could not believe this game was being made when the first batch of screenshots came out. Some people are concerned from the Zelda-esque features in the video (boomerang puzzle-solving, boulders falling down a mountain area), but even so I still feel it promises to be incredible. May have to be my 2nd imported game after Demon's Souls if it comes w/ an english track like that game did, or simply if it has no chance of being localized.

I've been eying this for quite some time and was really concerned it wouldn't get a US publisher. Then it started looking like it would. Now, if the sources are correct this morning, it's Atlus and it's $40. I'm very happy about this. This is also one of those games that my wife has been drooling over. She literally saw about 5 seconds of video from the game and said, "WANT!"

Annnnnnnnnnd no news on the EU release date. I really dig what Atlus are doing at the moment but I seriously hate how treat the EU.

Does Atlus have a European branch?Is it possible for their NA branch to publish the game here?

I can't wait for this game,so i'm definitely importing it when it comes out.Demon's Souls has become one of my favourite games of all time so i place lots of trust in From Software.
I really hope Sony invests more in this collaboration with FS.

This is what i asked but maybe i worded it poorly.
I was wondering if Atlus U.S. could publish a game that it's not their own IP (provided they have the ok from the owner company of course) in Europe.
For example Atlus U.S. got the rights to publish 3D Dot Game Heroes in the U.S.,so could they publish the game also in Europe without having European offices?

A company called Ghostlight published Shin Megami Tensei 3 and both SMT Digital Devil Saga games in the UK. Persona 3 FES was published by Koei. Persona 4 was published by Square Enix.

All those are games developed by Atlus. That's not to say they couldn't do it for 3D Dot Game Heroes if they really, *really* wanted to (international licensing is messy), but if Atlus (US or otherwise) can't even publish their own games in the UK, there's little hope they'll have a hand here.

I'm not too familiar with the 'quirky imports' scene in Europe, so I don't know how many companies there are like Atlus or XSeed or Ignition over there. I know that From Software has worked with large international companies like Sega and Ubisoft before, so the potential is still there.

I wasn't really intending for this to sound like Europe won't get the game, I just wanted to point out that Atlus has nothin' to do with it.

In any case, PS3 games are region free. As long as your TV can handle it, you'll be able to find a way to play them.

I'm just going to post in here for the sake of pointing out that Zelda isn't an Action RPG. It's an Action Adventure.
