Cid is perfectly acceptable imo. I wouldn't mind seeing a female Cid either
He should be bald with a large beard overweight and between the age of 40 and 60. I'm thinking he'll be a repairman to, but this game is set in a futuristic setting so he might have a robotic arm or eye as well.
If Cid is a cat, he needs to be a philosophical stray cat who ponders the mysteries of life completely out of context to what is going on around him.

My brother suggested that, too. But as has been said, it's not a girl's name. Unless they find a way to lengthen it (as they did with Balthier's father's name -- Cidolfo) in a way that makes it sound feminine.Cid should be a woman. That hasn't been done yet.
Either way, it seems like 13's Cid will be male again . . . but this time, a young guy, which is refreshing. Oh, and a villain for the second game in a row. Also refreshing.
