Tokyo Game Show 09

Its that time of the year again, and I'm pumped. There isn't much hype for this years show. Maybe its because of last years lackluster show but I always like to remain optimistic. Heres what I'm looking forward to and hoping for from this years show.

GT5 Release Date for this year
Yakuza 4 unveiling
Some half decent Wii games (I'm very close to buying a Wii so I hope there will be something I can look forward to after buying one)
More info on Metal Gear Rising (hopefully some gameplay)
More info on Meroid Other M
White Knight Chronicles 2 unveiling
More info on 3D Dot Game Heroes

And lastly.........RPG's! I don't care which system they are on, we just need more of them. Hopefully some interesting ones will pop up during the show. I remember Sony saying they had 14 in development, so I hope we can see a few more of them. Some are speculating that Legend of Dragoon 2 will be announced. Whether thats good news or bad, it'll definitely be interesting if it does actually happen.

I don't care about the unveiling of White KNight 2, I just want 1 already, though I'm looking forward to more RPG's as well, preferably some high quality PS3 RPGs, idealy an announcment for Persona 5.

Can't believe I didn't think of that. That would make my day for sure. If not Persona 5, then at least some kind of Shin Megami Tensei game. I remember Atlus saying waaaaay back in 2005 they were going to make a Shin Megami Tensei game for the PS3.

After the shear awesome of Devil Survivor, I'm hoping Shin Megami will actually continue to delve into the realm of SRPG actually.

Oh, I would if it was a possibility. Its just that Level 5 is already working on WKC2. So unless Level 5's workforce grew over night without me knowing, I doubt we'll see DC3 until after WKC2 is finished.

When it comes to Wii games, I've already got a pretty okay list of what to look forward to. But I also haven't gotten some of the better games out yet like the infamous No More Heroes, Madworld, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, and Klonoa. I'd still like some new announcements, and I'd like to figure out what this vitality sensor thing is going to be used for, even if just for a laugh.

Edit: Oh, and more details on games like Monado: Beginning of the World and Metroid: Other M. Those two games barely even had clues for how they're played in their trailers.

I think I remember hearing a few months back about some bizzare Casino event or something where some random dude somehow affiliated with it confirmed that the next persona was coming out on the ps3. Here's some link:

So I think its just a matter of being announced.

Personally, I'm hoping for GT5 this year, and maybe some new content/trophies for MGS4 that the Kojima team said to wait on.

I kinda wish Level 5 was working on a new IP instead of White Knight Chronicles 2, I guess I'm just selfishly skeptical b/c I haven't had time to sit down with the game on my own yet. But damn, aren't they supposed to be working on Dragon Quest X? Maybe Enix is outsourcing it to someone else?

I think lastly I'd just like some PSN updates. I'm really interested in the PSN Imports idea and I think some upgraded functionality across games would be greatly appreciated.

I'm up for an announcement for Shin Megami Tensei 4 if it will ever happen. P5 sounds good too but I really feel the series needs a break or they are going to wear out the ideas.

I would love to hear anything Matsuno is working on since he sorta dropped out of the spotlight for awhile til Mad World came out.

I'm curious to see what Monolith Soft is working on for Nintendo, as well as more info about Golden Sun 3.

Sad to say, all I really care to hear from SE is any surprise announcement beyond DQVI coming to DS and DQX for Wii. Though it would be nice if SE finally released some in-game footage of VXIII.

The Big Boss game for PSP also has my attention even if I feel its time to lay the series to rest.

Mostly, I'm checking to hear about some surprise announcements as no one is really working on anything I'm particulary interest in right now and I have only a few series I still follow. A surprise announcement like Suikoden VI or a Breath of Fire VI would be awesome or even news on the mythical Vagrant Story 2...

I'm pretty sure Monolith Soft's next game for Nintendo is Monado: Beginning of the World, but I'm not sure. As for the Big Boss game, I'm surprised I forgot it. I'm really looking forward to seeing a bit of its story, but the gameplay released so far really interests me.
