Is anyone still playing this game or arcade edition?

Play arcade edition casually, that is all though.

I still break it out for company just for a change of pace once in a while. And I'm still always interested in the game(s). But I never play it by myself anymore. Fighting games don't have that lasting appeal with me

I don't see a point in me playing it when I don't have net for online play and playing against the CPU is boring.

Yes, I play Super Street Fighter IV competitively in the Southwest Region of the United States. The competitive play around Super Street Fighter IV is slowly declining because of the lack of availability of Arcade Edition and the upcoming release of Marvel vs. Capcom 3, however.

I am not sure if I can say I play it competitively, but I have gotten back into the game quite a bit over the last few days. I took the last few months off from the game and got back into it with the release of arcade edition. Although I am a pad player and thus with the Honda nerfs and getting used to playing with a stick has caused quite a few frustrating times in the arcade.

I am still trying to get my bearings back and would love to get some games in with people who play tournament style games online (not the random players on ranked who love to do unorthodox as ). If you have live add me sometime to get some games in I'd level to start leveling up by playing high level competition.

I can say for sure that I'm not good enough to play competitively. I mean, I only played against Depression Moon twice: the first time, he couldn't even figure out how to do Chun-Li's moves (and I taught him in real-time), the second time he'd switched to Viper and beat me for the majority of our games.

I poke around in practice mode now whenever tournaments are on, which is pretty much every other week these days. I don't play much against real people (my friends suck and don't play fighting games), but if you want a sparring partner who doesn't do online shenanigans I can hook up with you from time to time. Maybe I'll get better.

Yes, I can add you on Xbox Live the next time that I have a practice session. Where do you live? I only play people that live in North America due to latency issues.

I remember that. That was the first SF I've played in since more than a decade. I had to basically relearn everything and I doubt I was really doing anything but button mashing back then anyway.

I could go and enter tournaments, but it would just be like giving away money for no reason. I can't practice at home online, so the only practice I can get is from the AI (which is useless) and from casuals the day of the tournament which isn't even close to enough time. I did enter a Tekken 6 tournament and did fairly well despite my situation. I'm guessing it might have to due with the superior AI in that game and the fact that I've been playing every main Tekken since its creation.
