Movies that are just classic!
I love talking about alot of things back in the day man. Movies especially, or tv shows. Does anyone besides me remember that movie "the magic voyage" where christopher columbus had a pet book worm and fought a giant swarm of bees for aztec gold....yeah

my favorite movie that could be considered classic at this point is "Blade Runner", the updated version with the naration and happy ending removed is the better version, i'm glad they digitaly cleaned up the audio & video for the final cut... i also like the book it was based on "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep"... i just love the dystopian film noir feel of it...

The first movie that comes to mind that was a classic as soon as it was released is American Beauty. It works on so many levels.
People under 45 should refrain from using the term "back in the day".

I used to really love Run, Lola, Run as a kid. Damn, I haven't seen that film in so long
I definitely feel the same as you IXVI. I don't care so much for modern movies but can get really passionate over older films. All of my favourite movies came from the 70's and 80's. Although I'm not sure if many of them would be considered classics to others.
I'd say Aliens and The Shining are universally liked and are classics of their genre. If we are talking proper oldies then Fritz Langs Metropolis has to get a mention. The first true classic of film making. Probably too old for a lot of people to appreciate though.
