Default >> Im bored of movies..

    >>> Seriously, making the xxx/porn stuff aside Im really bored of movies and they dont excite me like they used to do it when I was a kid (both hollywood and the non-hollywood stuff). I`d rather go and play an old videogame or watch a TV show, damn I`d rather go and read a book! than watch a movie..

I wonder if there is someone else who feels this way..

You obviously havent seen X Men Origins: Wolverine.

Maybe there will be a film for you in the near future. One you wil enjoy again, or maybe you have watched too many films in your life and theyre all merging into one now so you enjoy new ones less.

    >>> Movies are just like 2 hours of imagery and a story to tell, and you cant even interact with it (like a videogame)..

I think TV series are better because those doesnt have a limited time, TV series just keep going on and on and thats what it makes them more interesting..

You probably just need to persevere with the movie's opening and you will then get into it. I'm quite like that, I don't allocate any time for movies, so there today I made myself sit down and watch one (Taken). It was great, haven't watched a movie in ages and I got really into it.

I'm the exact opposite. I'd rather watch movies because I'm bored of television shows and video games, however, when the games I want come out (i.e. Dead Rising 2) I'll probably be a bit more interested. If it's a really good movie that makes you think, you'll mentally interact with it. You just need to broaden your horizon.

This is a positive and a negative. On one hand, the unlimited time frame that a television show has is burdened by a constant need for new and entertaining storylines and can take time to flesh out the characters involved without a rush. The time allowance can be bad due to the necessity of constantly delivering and, upon not delivering, bad things happen. The reliance on an audience causes pressures that could hurt the show in time. Movies, while having limited time to present characters and plot, either deliver or don't and rarely suffer from pressures of the audience. I enjoy both thoroughly because they each have such traits about them. Good movies and shows aren't as rare as people think, they just take some time to discover. I can name several dozen movies and a couple dozen shows that I've enjoyed immensely, a couple of which are very recent.

well there's your problem, no one makes movies to fit your niche

I'm the complete opposite. Movies strike a cord with me that few other forms of media can do. Sometimes a great movie can get me in high spirits for days. Only problem is that great movies are harder to come by these days which makes me treasure them even more.

I very much doubt that. Devoting two years of your life to just two hours of footage must be pretty tedious. Plus the pressue from film studios must be stressful.

    >>> Im a kind of creator myself (not of movies of course), but I draw a lot and i totally enjoy more the proccess than the final result. I dont know how it really is with movies but well, I was just talking from my perspective..
