That's actually pretty good from her.
I always knew that Tom Nook is really evil. He's a true villain, but he's quite a smooth talker, that one is, yes. The only other villager on par to him is Mr. Resetti, but he only appears whenever you forget to save your game. Tom Nook is always there. Except when his store is closed!
Apparently, I have been declared banished.

(SPOILER)Tom turns out to be not evil. He's trying to help Billy and save his insane, dying wife.
This terrified me when I read it last year!

I read that a couple years ago then she moved into my town the next day and I screamed.
It terrified me when I read it three months ago.

It's OK, I used signposts to block access to her house and gave her a warm welcome of constant bug catching nets to the head and lovely letters with death threats and garbage I fished up.
