Oh yeah, I don't know if it's the same in Norwegian but in Danish those names are pronounced:

Paul - Powl
William - Vil-yam
Laura - La-U-ra
Yeowch, Paul is even uglier in Denmark than in Norway. Don't ever come to scandinavia, Psychotic!

For us it'd be like Pævl and Lævra, with great emphasis on the v. William doesn't sound all that bad if you don't speak like a hobo, but a great percentage of norway does, so y'know. Too much emphasis on the L's I tell ya.
