girly DS games for christmas

Minus all the combat gameplay, Final Fantasy strikes me as a series I'd initially assume to appeal more to females if they had the exposure to the series. I think the only reason the majority of fans are male is because the majority of hardcore gamers are male. Sorry if I went a bit off topic ^^

I agree! It's always seemed like such a girly series to me. Well FFVI and on anyway.

Scribblenauts is definitely awesome. Harvest Moon DS and Island of Happiness was quite dull compared to other Harvest Moon titles.

I own Harvest Moon DS: Cute! which is essentially the same as HMDS except you get to be a girl and there are a couple of other differences but I can't remember.

Anyway, I personally love HMDS: Cute! and would recommend it but it may get tedious after a while. There's also Rune Factory and Rune Factory 2 which are both Harvest Moon games but they're also RPGs. You get to farm and kill monsters and stuff. I really want to check it out and your girlfriend might like it too

Definately Trauma Center. My mother and I are hooked on it, and again ,you might want to steer away from stereotypically girly games.

I wanted to recommend Trauma Center, but didn't for some reason. I will say that it's not for people who get frustrated easily, in case your girl's like that, Craig.

I did just remember one, though, and I'm sort of disappointed with myself because I didn't until now-- Rhythm Heaven. Easy to pick up, easy to understand, a ton of fun to play, but still challenging enough in the long run to keep you busy for a while (collecting gold medals and Perfect rankings and such).

Dead Serious Suggestion: Style Boutique (Style Savvy in the US). Unless she totally loathes the idea of fashion, she might be into it. I'm assuming this is the same game Iceglow mentioned, but it is actually called 'Style Boutique' and not 'Fashion Boutique'. If you go looking for something with 'Fashion' in the title you might come out with one of those terrible 'Imagine' games.

It is the same game I meant, it's my bad my girlfriend would know the name of it but about the only 2 games I use my DS for atm are FFTA2 and Pokemon Diamond. I don't play many DS titles I prefer my pc or my 360 and before anyone thinks to mention travelling with my DS, the only time I have ever experienced motion sickness was trying to train pokemon on the 7 hour drive across Poland from Leszno to about 50km west of Warsaw. I read when I travel for a good reason.

Nintendogs isn't that great in my opinion. Unless your girlfriends is 8 years old and also into Tamagotchi.

My girlfriend loves Scribblenauts (the first thing she said about it was "Yay! I flew on a pegasus to rescue a kitten!") and it's something you can work on together too!

Why do I not have this game?! It sounds amazing. *gets*
