Anyone going to go out in the madness this Friday in the US to shop?
We're planning on buying a new TV, but Samsung is doing Black Friday deals all week and I'm looking at picking up a 40" 1080p LCD TV for $600 ether today or tomorrow.
I don't live in the US, so no Black Friday for me
No thanks. I don't care for being stampeded by middle-aged women.
I love going out on Black Friday, it's like a most pit with a more defined purpose.
I'm going out to grab a new TV and some video games.
I'm thinking of getting a 50" LCD.
I just got GTA IV for $10 it was advertised as so in the paper and the woman at the desk said that it was supposed to have a sticker on it, but she let me get it and said don't tell anyone I did this.
Oh man if I knew it was that easy I would've asked her to get me a copy of Dragon Age Origins or Arkham Asylum for the same price.
I did some Black Friday shopping this morning and while this probably sounds horrible, I was kind of disappointed in the lack of chaos. I'm glad no one was injured this year but there is something about generally organized chaos that I enjoy viewing.
I did see a guy get escorted out of a Wal-Mart with a bloody face. No idea what happened but besides that, my local Wal-Mart was super smooth this year. Even Target with its line that wrapped around the entire inside of the store was 20 times more organized and peaceful as years passed.
Pleasant shopping experience with all things considering. The waiting in the checkout line for 45 minutes was a pain but getting things for super cheap was worth it.
Go a new TV and a computer. Hell yeah.
