Freya, miller IS town alligned, it is there for the same reason so the cop has to THINK about their results and make a conclusion based on them. When Psy and myself ran the game you had the miller role, the town won and you won. This is a game of logic and any balanced game has no roles that will break the game or instantly cause a side to win or not. Some roles like the doctor dare town and help the town. Some like vengeful townie are only useful if there is a lynch. Bomb is designed to make nightkills more risky. But the biggest thing you have having a problem with is that the mods can make up any roles they want to. Like the no vote vote for yourself rule. I think it is stupid. Am I complaining that it is in use? No, because I accept the fact that it's in place. It boils down to you were wrong, get over it. Do you see me ranting over laddy breaking a rule about masons? I got over it and moved to the next day. DD is not being a bad game mod, and I have pieced together enough about the setup now to say it looks very balanced for what it is trying to do.
The problem that the town has in this game is half of you are not thinking at all. If you think about another players actions for a few seconds, you can actually find the mafia members. I know I found a few and the mafia is going to win if you don't get your heads out of your egos. I want to win this so shape up.
Edit: Given how lazy you can be based on this game, stop whining like babies that you are wrong, start thinking for a change and don't judge the entire setup until the game ends. I don't know the specifics, but I do know that this style of setup is almost impossible to implement without someone to complain the entire time.
Is there such thing as a setup that doesn't include people complaining?

And also I need to give many, many thanks to Psy. He's actually awesome and I wouldn't have been able to do anything without him. I know we haven't finished yet but I wanted to put it out that I'm very appreciative and thankful to have his help.
And back to the game, my set-up is not unfair in the slightest. Without revealing anything, you can see by the revealed roles now that you're quite clearly powerful, and it has nothing to do with the Mafia being overpowered because pretty much every incident costing the town is the town's fault. You haven't lost yet, just stop playing like OAPS and get your asses into gear.

While not questioning the balance of the set up, I probably wouldn't have believed Celes either, since I've never heard or read anything about Survivors turning up guilty. I wouldn't have felt the need to ask the hosts to clarify anything, I'd assume she was lying, and I don't feel I have to read up on how they do things on Something Awful to be able to enjoy a game here. I suppose too many variables can be a con with host created roles and variations.
But that's me, I prefer things more basic.

Anyway with this Survivor thing, we're sorry for anyone who got confused by it. I honestly didn't know it'd be a contentious issue, we just assumed that everyone saw Survivor the way we did. It wasn't intended to be a "Heh let's smurf them over" thing. We all learned: If in doubt, ask, and hosts should not take things for granted. Now let's get back to pretend bickering!
