<b>1) On 10-25-2009, long time member Blues Agent aka Agent Proto (THREAD CLOSING MONSTER) created a thread about creating a country. Many members flocked to the thread and expressed their interest. When things are looking up, Blues Agent went ahead and close the thread on his own and abandoned all his people.
I for one feel cheated and suffered a deep trauma of what Blues Agent did along with others that posted in his thread. As a Staff of EoFF, what are your views and opinions?</b>
The death of that thread shows that you need a good leader who is dedicated to the cause to keep a project like that going. it reminds me of the Gamers' Alliance back when Bleys would flake out all the time and let it die. Which happened with Magestar too. Wow, that thread made me think of Bleys, which is bad. bad bad bad.
<b>2) As a staff of EoFF, what had you actually done to improve this place? Do you think what you had done qualify you as a staff here?</b>
my biggest contribution as a staff member is the FF forum section names, Nerds in Paradise, The Quickening, and The Smell of Fear.
Other staff contributions include fighting to bring back the Feedback Forum and giving good advice on tons of issues in the staff forum.
Plus I lighten the mood with random spam threads, and serve as the People's staff member. And I ran a "Best FF NPC" competition a couple times in Gen FF.
Before being knighted, I made the EoFF Elections into something epic and awesome when I was Election Booth for the third and fourth annual editions. (I believe Sakura Yume and Naitsirk were Election Booth for the first two editions respectively). I was given Recognized Member status for this.
I also set the record and broke the mold with repo man, the best second account ever, which was so good the staff played along and let the members try to guess who had made the account. This catapulted me onto the scene back in the days when EoFF was run by an insufferable clique of elitist staff members and associated donkey lovers.
Oh yea, I was also the secret result in Neel's "what eoff staff member are you?" quiz.

1) I reckon that if someone really feels cheated then they should start a new thread up. People should never rely on others - even staff - to make all the fun. I fully appreciate that we have to do our bit, but if we did everything then we'd only be limiting ourselves. Dozens of members over the years have done a massive amount of work for this place without being on staff. Proto himself was not on staff. Instead of feeling let down by the end result of his thread, they should rather continue it on themselves. Be inspired by the actions of others! Why should a simple thread closure stop the idea behind the thread? It is certainly not against the rules to make a new thread continuing on and hopefully providing progress to Proto's initial concept.
2) You say as a staffer, however it should be noted that I did a lot of my work before I was even on staff - much like I believe others should, as per my answer to the first question. So I will list off everything I've done as a member, rather than as a staffer. Being on staff only makes things easier, but even if it's more difficult I still collaberated with staffers to ensure my ideas could go forward. In some cases I don't recall if I started the idea before or after being Knighted so that's the other reason I'm including stuff I did before being recruited...
- Began the first EoFF World Map
- Began the Site Staff
- Coded for the Site Staff
- Helped to create new styles for the forums
- Helped to the main styles would work before major upgrades went ahead using my own forums licences and domains on external servers.
- Paid for the chatroom's hosting for a long period of time.
- Arranged various offline meetings of members in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom
- Attended various offline meetings of members in New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
- Revamped the EoFF Awards into the Ciddies, introducing such things as the nominations round, speeches, revelations threads/chats and other traditions.
- Was heavily involved with many Eizon ventures
- Helped with multiple EoFF Post incarnations, including columns, interviews and forum hosting.
- Lead multiple EoFF Election parties, occasionally winning.
- Came up with and carried out the EoFF Gang Wars
- Started various other forum-based contests in various forums
- Joined in with other events such as the ongoing EoFF Dwarf Fortress game.
- etc.
- I'm probably forgetting something. Oh, the EoFF Wiki is my baby, too. It was actually originally going to be a yearbook or something!

3) Doomgaze, HOORJ, Ferenan, Roto13, Sepho. Those five were all pretty neat and I stay in contact with some of them on some level, too. I'd say out of them, probably HOORJ was the most amusing (but unfotunately too spammy more often than not). Doomgaze and Roto13 are the two I probably have most contact with now, mostly through LiveJournal. Roto13 was actually on the staff of omgmygame, my off-shoot site. I'll say him for that reason, I guess.

1. Wait, another Eizon project failed? Someone hold my scepter so I can put my hands to my face and scream in astonishment. I was so sure 106th time was charmed. I can see how it's fun making maps and claiming an island only to name it Buttztopia and declare war on Breastville (run by several male commenters from the picture thread) but to actually proceed to roleplay in a roleplay? Nah, more claiming plz!
2. Well, I brought Mafia to this place and shaped it to what it is today with the second accounts, but I'm not sure whether to say I'M SORRY! or you're welcome! I'm sure 20-25 of us would say the latter and everyone else saying what's this crap clogging up my general chat?
Other than that I don't think I've done much! I once created a Hurt & Heal thread in the staff forum, but nobody liked it and it got closed. Why would someone even close a thread in the staff forum when everyone can still post in it? I suppose that's how bad it was. The follow up ABC thread wasn't all that much better either. It's what I get for trying to make the staff forum more like the FF forums. :/ Maybe I should make a riddle thread in there!
3. My favorite banned members are the kind that don't stick to the roof of your mouth. I hate it when they do that.

1) As I expect most everyone does, I try to get an image, if a faint one, of what everyone is like. That often involves getting to know the person behind the screen name, if only a little bit, which quietly brings with it an ounce or two of care for these people. Then there are of course those who have gone a few steps further than that, people who I consider friends, who I care for as much as, if not more, than I do for most of whatever IRL friends I may or may not have! And when it comes to getting to know people, new member or old doesn't make a difference. Then of course there's care for the community, which is impossible to not gain when it's had such a big impact on your life. That brings with it a care for all members, known and unknown (and Unknowns) that might not be as personal but is still as real! So yes, I would say I care about all members here in some fashion.
2) I just try to not take matters too seriously unless they really require being taken seriously! And I certainly try not to take myself too seriously. Whether that results in the odd funny or not isn't quite up to me to say!

4) Something more modern! As charming as our current skins are, most of them are kind of stuck in the 90's and the only thing that really changes between them are colour schemes and banners! A skin can do so much more than that!

Oh wow that admin answer to my question was ace.:bgl: Come on CK's, you can do better.
1) If I didn't care about you all then I would not come here and instead be doing other things like sleeping. I also take the time to type in green to make it look pretty.
2) I can be both right? I am serious when I need to be, but if I can have fun with what I do then that makes everything better.
3) Del, we need that skin. Now. Make it the default EoFF skin for great justice. Please either make that one skin or the one I have outlined in my own question 4, it would be a skin EoFF would love to have.
4) Del's Quina skin does sound to be magical, and I want to say that as well. But I wont steal his idea and take it for myself, and instead suggest EoFF Melodies of Life v2.3. A Final fantasy IX theme, starring:steiner: :vivi: :salamander: :freya: and :eiko:. It would be one to take the magic of FF IX, and share it with everyone. Little changes to the EoFF style that would be for fun. Warn would be to report the post to :steiner: for example, and the banner would be set that there are actually nine banners, one for each character and the general cast as one, randomly chosen to be displayed each time you open a new page. The colors would be a light brownish orange color that's not too dark but also pleasent to look at.
