    Well thank you!

deadmau5 - For Lack of a Better Name
Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion
    St. Vincent - Actor
Team Teamwork - The Good-ass Remixes Vol. 1
Cymbals Eat Guitars - Why There Are Mountains

in no particular order after the first, which is actually number 1 for me.

oh and my favorite song of the year is Strobe by deadmau5.

MY LOVE FOR PATRICK WOLF MAKES ME COMPLETELY BLIND TO ALL HIS FAULTS EVEN HIS ON STAGE TEMPER TANTRUMS.

+ Hard Times. Just musical perfection. The video rules too. I've been trying to figure out if he's sampling some other song with that weird violin flourish but I'm not sure it just sounds so familiar.

    edit:

man I feel special now. dude Strobe contains literally like, the holy grail of drops. the buildup is so intense, then it just drops and you're like "whoa". this is why I would give my left testicle to be at a deadmau5 rave rolling on E. and yeah st. vincent smurf yeah.

This, and Converge's new album is a face-melter.
    Also:

Every Time I Die - New Junk Aesthetic
    P.O.S. - Never Better
CunninLynguists - Strange Journey Volume One (haven't listened to Vol. 2 yet)
Bomb the Music Industry! - Scrambles

Still need to listen to Phoenix, Wavves, Japandroids, all the Pitchfork-hyped bands. I spent most of the year lost in the Beatles back catalog and listening to Elliott Smith's XO over and over.

Biggest disappointment: Brand New - Daisy

    Jellyfish swim by.

I had the chance of seeing St. Vincent live this year at the Roskilde Festival, but unfortunately couldn't because some other band was playing in the same time slot.

I've heard a lot of good things about her "Actor" album, so I really want to get my hands on it.
