Im not saying this is the only ridiculus reigous holiday of them all, i mean st patricks day = getting drunk? wtf. its just that this thread is about haunakuh

getting drunk is not the reason st patrick's day is a holiday. it's just that holidays are always a good excuse to get drunk, bars need a way to boost revenue in March, and mocking the Irish is more socially acceptable than mocking other minority groups. If Hi C marketed Martin Luther King Day like Guinness does St Patrick's Day, people would be up in arms about racism.

Can someone explain haunakah to me? I know the story about the candle oil that lasted 7 days when it wasnt supposed to, but I dont celebrate when my car runs 10 extra kilometers even though the fuel gauge says empty or when my torch batteries begin dying but i can bring them back to life with a good whack
