A funky Christmas stocking

I just spent 2.5 hours making this. The sewing part actually took me all of 15 minutes, especially since my sewing machine decided it felt like cooperating with me today, but the goddamn cutting of a very contrary velvet fabric gave me much hell, as did the instructions of the stocking which I had ended up throwing away in favor of doing it my own!

Though it's a little smaller than I had thought, I'm quite happy with the result! Who would have thought a midnight/electric blue & zebra print stocking would look anything except like an 80s nightmare?



I wonder if I'm going to give it to someone or if I'll keep it all for myself and put my name on it! I might make some more - stockings are really fun to sew, just not fun to cut up.
