SOLDIER

Without looking at Before Crisis or others related title and just looking at FF VII itself.

What do you think of the group "SOLDIER" in the game?

For "SOLDIER" members in the game not counting Sephiroth, Cloud or Zack, we have

1st Class, which is only found in the Mako cannon area. I bet some didn't even notice their existence.



2nd Class, found in the Junon Area. Not much of a threat.



3rd Class, found early in the game in the Shinra Building. I was pretty excited when I saw them the first time I play the game. I mean, IT IS A MEMBER FROM SOLDIER!

Are SOLDIER members meant just to be some random encounters that doesn't pose much threat? Or do you think they deserve more?

They have pointy heads

Their swords are rounded. Like metal dunce caps.

But yeah, all unnamed SOLDIERS are just lightweights.

They should have been tougher. Cloud raves about how badass and strong they are and then they end up killing them way too easily. I know by the time our heroes face the 1st Class guys they are pretty powerful, but still.
