    Default A few things about chocobos.

    Like did you know if you breed a gold with a black, you'll get a gold if you use a Zeio nut? And if you breed to golds together and use the Carob nut you can get a green and blue?

    No, I didn't! I've wanted to try and breed max-stat chocobos of each colour during past playthroughs and tried to do it by breeding uber yellows at first. It didn't work.

    After you get the gold you shouldn't bother with carob nuts just use zeio as they have a chance to increase the chocobos max dash by 1/10th of the parents and lots of different stats.

    There is a guide on gamefaqs by Absolute Steve that i would highly recomend

    I didn't realize there was a point in dealing with chocobo breeding anymore once you've obtained a gold chocobo.

    Yeah, I never bothered. I always had enough at that point.

    Well of course this is olny on the PSX one for the pc users, but i was bored and wanted a break, so i tried breeding my lack with my gold and got another gold. So it hasled me to thinking when you are breeding a gold with a wonderfull it might be a 50% chance. Maybe not. I just thought it was interesting...

    My gold always won every race, even if I didn't try to breed it to do so.

    All of my chocobos won every race no matter color. Makes for getting an S class gold very east and fast.

    Really? Until I bread a few generations of golds I could never consistently beat Teioh.

    Yeah it's easy to beat Joe and TERIOH. And heres what i think;

    There are two types of chocoboes; Sprinters and runners.

    Sprinters have a higher speed when sprinting but lower when running (Holding down the square button)

    Runners are not as fast as sprinters, but run faster when running. They usually have a sprint speed that is a bit faster but by not much.

    I've got a 185K Sprinter and a 155K runner and i prefer my 155K one cause it goes faster, but heyl; when you're bored you get bored

    I like to see people take the time to do the chocobo thing! I always wait until I get to the third disk to do it though. When I have useless money, and endless time.

    i always do it before junon's reactor. that way, i can "one-hit" (thirteen-hit?) Carry Armor.

    and up to that moment you mostly have an All-Materia mastered (or at least high-leveled -> Sea Worm) to get 1.4 M Gil.

    Another thing: You know the creature that you get carob nuts from? What's up withthe thing stitched to the back?
