Thread: If you could have your mind partially wiped...

to be able to play one game in the series and experience the plot twists and all the drama over again, which would it be.

I'd probably pick nine, since I've had that whole plot spoiled and Ive never even extensively played the game. I'd think I'd enjoy that one a lot.

I'm going with VII as the whole Aries thing was spoiled for me before I even got the game. I always imagine my reaction to that scene would be different had I not known it was coming.

V or VI, not for any story stuff. But wonder what I'd do with out knowing all the cheap tricks that make your team over powered and stuff.

IX for me because it was my favorite storyline and I would love to be able to see it again without knowing what happens already.

I'd go with VII - I still love it, but I really felt something while playing it the first time, I even had a walktrhough, but it was careful and spoiled nothing.

Watchingh everything get reveled was brilliant.

FF7, to see if I liked it just because I was young and impressionable.

XII. VII-X are the important games to me. I doubt I would feel the same about them at this age and I don't want to ruin that. I don't care about XII much so whatever to it.

Sorryto boast, but I know for a fact that, that wasn't the case for me. I was never really "impressionable" even when I was young, I always knew what I liked and disliked, most things I liked back then are things I still like now.

I wanna say FFVII - I'm playing it right now, it still holds up for me 12 years later as one of my favorite games, but I always remember that first time playing it, probably my favorite "first playthrough" of any FF, plus I knew about the Aeris thing beforehand.

But my vote went to FFVI. Mostly, I would want to forget everything anyone ever told me about it before I got a chance to play it. Years of hearing exaggerated appraisals made me more disappointed than any other game when it didn't live up to its fans' largely inflated statements.

Being impressionable doesn't mean that you can't know what you like or don't.

FFIX I was so obsessed with that game after I had beat it almost ten years ago. Man what a feeling.

IX definitely. I kinda want to have amnesia just so I can play this game again.

"It is a well-known fact that all heroes in all tales disliked vegetables as children.
Their legend begins with their overcoming of this weakness, and then continues with a journey filled with hardships.
That noble vegetable, the onion, lives on as a symbol of hardships overcome, and as the mark of a true hero.

Imma jump on the band wagon and say IX.

Though I wouldn't mind VIII, if only because that game has given me countless hours of bitching, which I do so enjoy doing, and would love to do fresh again.
