I don't know what he meant. In very basic terms, Reyvateils are a "race" of people who use songs as magic. Of course it's an all female race, so I guess he could have meant they're supposed to be eye candy, but he could have explained that himself. xD I was tempted to ask him what he meant myself. xD
Knowing the character designer can be rather... um in some of his works, and that the Ar tonelico games are filled with innuendo, trust me - if she's not wearing panties it was on purpose.
I'm totally going to play these games.
