i was totally confused too!
heres what works that i think
junction Sleep to HP(you can only do this by getting the Siren GF and junctioning it!)
junction Thunder to STR(junction Ifrit or ask Quetzotocaul or Shiva to learn it)
its all i ever did that worked best
