FF7 Disc 1
Is there anything on disc 1 that can ONLY be done on disc 1? Apart from the regular story obviously.
-
Using Aeris' final limit break on her and getting her to level 99 comes to mind.
"... and so I close, realizing that perhaps the ending has not yet been written."
-
Getting Four Slots, that Shotgun for Vincent, the Enemy Skill Materia in Midgar and some other things I forgot right now.
-

Yea the stuff in the Shinra Building like the Elemental Materia from Mayor Domino in the Library, or the accessories/whatever in that optional room. If you're talkin about Sidequests, not so sure, I think you can still get Aeris' stuff it's just useless.
-
Speaking of Aeris, it sucks when she dies.

The final Speed Square prize changes from Parasol to Flayer at some point.
-
- Things in Temple of the Ancients like Aeris' final weapon
- Parasol
- I think MP-Absorb Materia is not acquirable if you don't complete Yuffie's Sidequest, not sure about it, though (hopefully the Pagoda is)
- Yoshiyuki (Edit: Can be gotten during CD2, but only till Junon Underwater-Reactor)
- Shotgun
- Four Slots
- Enemy-Skill in ShinRa Headquarters (get this, or you can only have three)
- Possibly Vagyrisk Claw, if you level up a lot
I hope I didn't forget anything

You can still get Vagrisk Claws in some of the Fort Condor battles, by either intentionally losing or not setting up defensive troops and fighting the Command Grand Horn.
-
But only if Command Grand Horn is on lower levels, which is determined by your own average party level, after the very first battle. And you can't get them from Bagrisks either if you're level ~78 or something like that.

I thought the CGH's level was determined by the sequence of battles as the plot is advanced.

Does anyone else find it slightly amusing when he just ups and flies at you throwing materia and parts of Jenova whilst he's at it?
Can you still do the first Fort Condor battle after Disc 1?

A new battle becomes available after each major time the plot advances, for a maximum of 17 battles. If you skip a battle you get the prize from a previous battle, except for the last one, which is always the same.

Is it possible to miss the first Chocobo Lure materia? It wouldn't really be a loss, as you can master it multiple times, but if you don't buy it for 2000 Gil, you're stuck with one unmastered CL, right?
