About the demo:

Just finished the demo and loved it.
Now I know this game isn't going to be for everyone, but I recommend at least trying the demo to see.

Ive never been bothered by any games controls (maybe apart from Monster Hunter psp) so controls have never been an issue with me. I can see why they chose R2 for 'acceleration' etc.
QTEs are very evolved and definitely not your usual 'press button in time to not die' kind of thing. Wrong and correct button presses branch out into different scenarios. If you miss too often though it's possible to die and the game just carries on without that character (not in the demo though I don't think).
Atmosphere is really immersive. I also felt my heart beating at the fight scene.
The Norman section showed me the different paces the game has (its definitely slower but works) and further convinced me that it will be great.

Some voices were very good and others were ok, but I wasn't bothered at all by the less impressive ones (some people thought some of the voice acting was awful, but man, i've seen a LOT worse in good games).

Also, I saw my friend play the same demo and he did a lot of things differently, the reactions of the woman ended up completely different and she told him a lot more than me.
